Manufacturing Process Steps

• 1. Reaction:
• The core of the HEDP manufacturing process is the condensation reaction between phosphorous acid and formaldehyde. This reaction is typically carried out in a batch or continuous reactor under controlled temperature and pressure conditions. Hydrochloric acid is often added to catalyze the reaction and maintain the desired acidic environment.

• After completion, the reaction mixture is cooled to room temperature to stabilize the product.
• 5. Purification:
• The crude HEDP acid solution may be subjected to purification steps such as filtration or removal of by-products to achieve the required purity level.
• 6. Concentration:
• The product is concentrated under vacuum or by evaporation to reach the desired concentration, typically around 60% solution.
• 7. Quality Control:
• Samples are taken for quality analysis, including testing for active content, pH, density and impurity levels, ensuring the final product meets industrial standards.
